2013 Red Trillium Ripasso


Always one of the most popular wines among Savvy customers, the Red Trillium Ripasso is made by “re-passing” a blend of Pinot Noir & Cabernet Sauvignon wine over the freshly dried grape skins leftover from their Appassimento wine. It remains in contact with the pomace of the Appassimento for about ten days at which time a second fermentation occurs.

Savvy Sommelier Tasting Notes: Fruity and rich, with black cherries, dried figs, and black currants. There’s a little mint and cedar here, too, with medium tannins and acid. This full-bodied wine is a crowd-pleaser.

Suggested Food Pairing: This will work well with Italian cuisine, BBQ ribs, or even just a juicy hamburger.

Cellaring: Drink now or cellar up to 3 years.
