The Estate Chardonnay demonstrates why Westcott Vineyards has become one of the leading producers of cool-climate Chardonnay in Niagara. The vintage was exceptional—long, warm days and cool nights created the ideal conditions for slow ripening and intense flavour development.
Winemaker Casey Kulczyk used barrel fermentation with wild yeast to create texture and depth while allowing the wine’s natural acidity to shine. A period of natural malolactic fermentation added softness and complexity. The wine was left turbid and unfiltered to preserve purity, then aged to reveal structure and finesse.
This Chardonnay offers a precise, mineral-driven expression of Niagara’s Escarpment terroir—bright fruit balanced by elegant oak influence. It’s a wine that speaks of craftsmanship and patience, showing beautifully now but capable of graceful aging through 2029.
