When Gunn’s Hill Artisan Cheese owner & cheesemaker Shep Ysselstein met Yana & Tatiana soon after they arrived in Canada from the Ukraine, he knew he could help them share their love of food. These ladies are making their traditional Ukrainian recipe of Varenyky (similar to Polish Perogies) filled with the one-of-a-kind combo of Gunn’s Hill signature 5 Brothers cheese & mashed potato. Each dough pocket dumpling is handmade lovingly by these hard working women.
Each bag contains 12-15 dumplings. It’s the perfect amount for a dinner for 2 people.
Cooking instructions from Tatiana & Yana: Boil in hot water for 4 – 6 minutes then transfer to a frying pan with butter, bacon & onions – fry til browned.
