Big and bold sums up this wine. The intensity of the aromas and flavours are in part by the process. The grapes have been dried to allow the water to evaprorate turning the grapes into raisin-like fruit then goes through the winemaking process.
Pour a glass and you’ll immediately enjoy aromas of dark red cherry, followed by darker fruits: black berry, black cherry and plum. These aromas continue into the taste adding in hints of chocolate, vanilla and nutmeg.
This wine is cellar worthy with the potential to continue to evolve over the next 7-10 years. If you like intense flavours…why wait? Uncork a bottle now. And better order another bottle to keep for later to enjoy how it has evolved with time.

Winemaker Tanya Mitchell certainly knows what she is doing! She has been impressing our Sommeliers with Sprucewood Shore wines for many years. We were delighted to have this new wine showcased at Corks & Forks Wine Festival.
This wine is produced by hand selecting the finest fruit, then slow drying the grapes over a 2 to 3 month period to further ripen and concentrate the grapes. The result is a wine of mind blowing depth, body and complexity!
