This is another outstanding wine from Sprucewood Shores located in E.P.I.C. wine region – Canada’s southernmost wine region named Essex Pelee Island Coast.Â
This Cabernet Sauvignon that was grown and harvested in 2020 made a red wine of exceptional quality. This medium to full bodied wine was crafted using the Ripasso method for further depth of flavours and concentration – refermenting on Appasimento grapes pomace. The result is a bold red wine with a complex nose of dried raspberry and caramel with smooth and integrated tannins and a very long finish.
Paired with a pasta with tomato basil meat sauce, BBQed steak and grilled Portobello mushrooms, or keep some for a dessert of chocolate cake – this would be the ultimate date night!
