Located in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula, Lakeview Wine Co. has built a reputation for crafting wines that capture the best of Ontario’s cool-climate character. The Fumé Blanc 2021 reimagines Sauvignon Blanc through the lens of Niagara terroir—fresh, vibrant, and lightly kissed by oak.
Fruit was harvested at peak ripeness to showcase tropical and citrus intensity. The juice was then aged for six to eight months in oak barrels, imparting subtle smoke and roundness while maintaining Sauvignon Blanc’s natural brightness. This balance of fruit and structure gives the wine its signature sophistication.
The 2021 vintage offered steady warmth and ideal ripening conditions across Niagara. Those long sunny days and cool nights helped preserve crisp acidity and aromatic lift—perfect for this expressive, small-lot white.
