This red wine has classic cherry and strawberries tastes with a pretty violet aroma to enjoy as you take each sip.
Pinot Noir is called “The Heart Break Grape” because it’s so hard to fully ripen – especially in cold climates like we have in Ontario. The winemaking team at Karlo continues to refine their Pinot Noir growing and winemaking techniques to craft a mighty fine red wine.
All of Karlo’s wines are vegan – using special winemaking techniques.
Classic pairings are grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, roast duck or charcuterie.

The terroir in Prince Edward County where Karlo is located allows Pinot Noir grapes to ripen during the day, then it’s “put in the fridge” at night with the cool temperatures which helps to keep the grapes stable as they ripen. At Karlo, they call this pinot the “Southern Belle,” because it’s delicate, elegant, a little temperamental and eventually makes a truly exquisite wine.
