As Karlo Estates are often invited to participate in galas, private club après parties and fundraisers and often get asked if they have a sparkling to use as a reception wine.
When Derek Barnett, winemaker at Karlo Estates, was offered some Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon at the beginning of harvest, he jumped at the chance to make a Bordeaux cuvée sparkling. It is dry with round fruit making it way too easy to drink. They decided to call it “Bubble” because that is what a sparkling wine is often called when referring to it with familiar affection.
