Fred Wines is Niagara’s latest virtual winery. Fred DiProfio has been making wine for several Ontario wineries – began at Pillitteri Winery, head winemaker at Pond View Winery, even at his parent’s DiProfio Winery. Now he is head winemaker at Bella Terra Winery and has recently launched his own Fred Wines.
Fred loves Gamay grape. This is an easy drinking wine made with 100% Gamay grapes grown in Niagara. With each sip, you’ll notice aromas of red apple, raspberry, blueberry and bing cherry, that flow onto the palate.
This is a wine to serve with lunch, when you’re enjoying pizza or sipping while bingeing your favourite Netflix show.
Fred recommends to serve slightly chilled – 10 to 15 minutes in the fridge should do the trick. Take note how the aromas and flavours evolve as the wine warms up to room temperature. Enjoy!
