Winemaker Marc Pistor makes incredible small batch wines at his virtual winery. For this red wine, he was inspired by one of the great Chateaus of Bordeaux to create a blend using 50% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Franc and 17% Cabernet Franc. All of these grapes were from the remarkable 2020 vintage.
As the wine swirls in your glass, enjoy the deep purple colour with a touch of ruby. This blend shows white pepper, blackberry jam, fresh earth and black cherry on the nose. With each sip, enjoy the full-bodied, rich and powerful tannin with flavours of dark chocolate, fresh brewed coffee, leather with hints of vanilla and baking spices on the finish.
Pair with steak, roast, hearty stews or BBQed meats and mushrooms.
This wine will continue to evolve over the next 12-18 months.
