Gold-Winning Riesling from the Beamsville Bench
There’s good reason to take notice of Fielding Estate Winery Riesling 2023—it earned Gold at the 2026 National Wine Awards of Canada.
This award-winning Canadian Riesling begins in Fielding’s Estate Vineyard on Niagara’s Beamsville Bench. Grapes were selected from three separate Riesling plantings across the vineyard and harvested over two days early in the fall of 2023.
At the winery, the grapes were cool fermented entirely in stainless steel to preserve their freshness and vibrant fruit character. Fermentation was stopped when the winemaking team reached the desired balance between natural sweetness and acidity, creating the slightly off-dry style Riesling lovers know and love.
Bottled early in 2024, this is a delicious example of what Riesling can do on the Beamsville Bench—and a Gold-winning Ontario wine worth discovering.
