This is Gamay at its most expressive — bright, lifted, and bursting with red fruit. Crafted with a focus on freshness, it captures the cool-climate charm that makes Niagara red wines so distinctive.
Grapes were sourced from two Gamay vineyard blocks, hand-picked, and given a cold soak before traditional fermentation. After pressing, the wine rested briefly in neutral oak for four months, followed by an additional two months of tank aging to preserve purity of fruit and clean structure.
On the palate, soft tannins support notes of raspberry, red plum, and anise, finishing with refreshing acidity and a smooth texture. Fans of Pinot Noir will recognize the similarity — elegant, light, and playful — but with Gamay’s signature juicy personality.
This is a red wine that performs beautifully with food and is especially enjoyable served slightly chilled. From backyard gatherings to relaxed dinners to Friday-night pizza this Gamay is built for easy enjoyment, showcasing the vibrant fruit-first style of Fielding Estate wines from Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula.
