Drea’s Wine Co. Dornfelder 2020

Here is a neat red wine that is hard-to-come-by. We’re thrilled to be able to introduce you to a wine made with Dornfelder grapes.  It’s a varietal with a rich European history. Dornfelder grapes have thick black skins that bring an intense and deep colour to the wine.  This makes it an attractive grape for cool climate winemakers to craft impressive wines!

Although rare to find a Dorenfelder wine in Canada at the moment, if you like this one…you’ll be on the lookout for more.

Aromas and flavours include black fruit and remarkable floral characteristics with a natural bright acidity making Dornfelder exceptional ‘food friendly’ wines. This wine made by Drea Wines (a virtual winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake) was crafted to let the bright flavours and aromas of blackberry shine by fermenting and aging the wine in stainless steel tanks. The result is a medium bodied red wine with a stunning deep colour in the glass with a well balanced taste that makes it an ideal wine with summertime BBQ menus.
