Collaboration over competition. That’s the idea behind this limited-edition coffee tasting box, created by four like-minded Ottawa specialty coffee roasters who came together to celebrate their shared love of exceptional coffee and their individual approaches to roasting it.
Each roaster started with the exact same high-scoring, single-origin coffee from Intag, Ecuador. From there, they made it their own using different roasting equipment, techniques and signature styles. The result is four distinctly different expressions of the same remarkable coffee, showcasing the talent and creativity within Ottawa’s local coffee community.
And the collaboration goes beyond the roasters. This Ecuadorian coffee comes from Intag, a beautiful valley in the Andes, where farmers grow organic coffee as part of a sustainable economic future that helps protect their environment, communities and water sources. Ecuadorian coffee can be difficult to source locally, making this an especially unique coffee discovery.
Now comes the fun part. Brew each freshly roasted coffee the same way, taste them side by side and compare. Which is brighter? Richer? Sweeter? Which roasting style will be your favourite?
