Bachelder Les Villages Pinot Noir 2022

Thomas Bachelder is an impressive winemaker and his wines continue to strengthen Canada’s stellar reputation in the wine world.  Here are his notes for this classic Pinot Noir:

“Although elegant, in concentration terms, this wine is immense and lightly astringent – age-ability potential! A great, corrupt nose of red and black fruit shines – currently with cloves and spice behind and already turning agreeably tertière! Lovely and rose-petaled, and rich in the mouth. The striking acidity and the glycerine-silkiness simply surprise! The finish is long, and only slightly (but ripely) tannic.

Shockingly good now, yet so age-able over half a decade and has so much to reveal! If you want to age a truly great Pinot Noir that doesn’t cost $$$, this is the one!”

Winemakers Notes: Concentrated by the tough-to-bear late winter event of February 2022, this wine has great natural colour; and such classic elements of top Pinot Noir.
