This white wine shows aromas and tastes of ripe citrus, green apple, seamless spice and a vibrant, mineral-driven finish. 2027 Cellars was originally a virtual winery – meaning that it was a winery housed inside another winery sharing the equipment to minimize the overhead cost. With the growing popularity of 2027 Cellars, winemaker Kevin Panagapka and his wife Jodie, opened their tasting room a few weeks before the pandemic. Talk about timing! Winemaker Notes: The Fox Croft block of the Wismer Vineyard is located on the corner of Victoria Avenue and Moyer Road in Vineland, Niagara. The microclimate of the Fox Croft Block tends to be slightly warmer due to lower elevation on the Escarpment.
The grapes for this Chardonnay wine were hand-harvested and whole bunch pressed to 500l/tonne. This wine was fermented and aged sur lie in Burgundian oak barrels (20% new) for 14 months before being bottled.
