Taste it for yourself while Margaret Morris – cheesemaker & owner of Glengarry Fine Cheeses (located in Lancaster) and JJ Syer from Rosehall Run Vineyard share the trade secrets. Sample Glengarry cheeses made with cows milk that are paired with a variety of Rosehall Runs’ wines. The featured cheeses will be available to buy onsite in the Savvy Cheese Shop.

Get ready to learn about the magic of pairing wine and food. Acclaimed winemaker Marc Pistor, who also happens to be a professor of Oenology at Brock University. You’ll enjoy 3 wines from Fogolar Wines – Marc’s virtual winery in Niagara.

In the wine world, Canada is considered a cold climate wine county. This masterclass will be a deep dive into learning about the top 4 grape varieties that grow well in the different provinces. Hear from the people who grow these grapes about the challenges they have making wine…and keep their cool! It’s like having a mini wine tour across Canada.

Life is a Cabernet masterclass – 2pm
This masterclass will feature the powerful flavours of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties crafted by DREA Wine Co, Reif Estates & two wines from Backyard Vineyards in BC. While you taste these red wines, the feature winemakers will share how the history of these grapes stem back to France and why sometimes the harvest allows the winemakers to create impressive single varietal wines and sometimes need to be blended together to make a masterpiece.

Passionate about Pinot masterclass – 2pm
This masterclass is all about Pinot Gris (aka Pinot Grigio) & Pinot Noir wines. The panel of winemakers from Closson Chase, Queenston Mile & Redtail Vineyards will share the backstory about how they too are passionate for these grape varieties & how they carefully create the 4 featured white, rose and red wines with these grape varieties…the result is that their passion is helping to put Canada on the world wine map.

Tasting Tour of E.P.I.C. Wine Region – 2pm
